If you answered yes to any of these questions then Kookaburra Park Eco-Village could be the place for you. Please read on to find out why.
Kookaburra Park Eco-Village offers country living without the isolation that comes with 'Getting Away From It All'. Set on 485 acres of undulating, sub-tropical bush land only 3.5 hrs north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, Kookaburra Park is a unique community style development that offers a lot for a little cost.
The concept of Kookaburra Park is not a new one; Freehold building lots set amongst community owned 'Common Parkland'. Something you may be used to seeing in Europe.
The common land contains access roads that meander through the Park past Lakes that have been created along an existing watercourse. These Lakes provide utility water to the lots through a gravely fed water system.
All lots are serviced by underground power and phone as well as the utility water.
An extensive design process was carried out in the creation of Kookaburra Park that employed the Permaculture Principles of "Care of the Earth and Care of the People". Natural features were set aside and building lots were pegged out by hand.
The lots, at an average of one acre each, have been placed in clusters to promote hamlets. The lot placement follows design rules of having no more than three lots together and at least two boundaries facing common land.
This means your neighbours are close enough to keep an eye on your lot while your away but their not in your back pocket either.
The wildlife on the Park has increased greatly over the years. Kangaroos roam freely around Kookaburra Park and we are frequently visited by lots of different bird life.
I am sure that about now you are wondering what the Park layout looks like. Click here to see a lot layout map and to see what is for sale at Kookaburra Park Eco-Village.
